"So is there any research that I'm involved in now that I'm excited about? Well, as an administrator that's dealing with student affairs and veterinary education, there are a lot of different hats that I'm wearing and the research hat is one of those that has gotten smaller and smaller as the years have gone on. But I think the research that I'm most excited about now is that research that I'm collaborating on with some of our other faculty, and there's really kind of

2 research hats that I'm wearing right now.

One is dealing with liver disease, which is always been that area of veterinary medicine that I've been fascinated by. And then the other is the veterinary educational side and the student affairs side. And some of the research that we've been doing where we've been looking at things like the things that are setting students up for potentially for depression and anxiety. The differences between our students and our alumni, relative to those things. So we've been doing quite a bit of survey work, generating data and looking at that. That's been very exciting."
