Jeremy Gransky, DVM, veterinary officer for MVS Pet Care, says mobile and house-call veterinarians offer value and convenience to several groups of pet owners.

These types of practices are valuable to pet owners with mobility issues, senior citizens, pet owners with a number of pets and busy parents with kids at home. Mobile veterinarians also see a lot of animals that may not be comfortable in a stationary pet hospital, Dr. Gransky says — dogs who don't get along with other dogs in the waiting room or who are stressed out by a veterinary visit.
