MIghtyVet Offers Support to Veterinary Schools

Steve Weinrauch, BVMS, MRCVS, founder of MightyVet, explains how MightyVet is more than just a support group for veterinarians — it's also a support group for veterinary schools.

The "office hours" that MightyVet holds are meant to give feedback to veterinary schools in real-time. Veterinarians and veterinary students spend 2 hours each month in the MightyVet virtual environment to talk about their experiences either in veterinary school or out in the real world, Weinrauch says. The feedback these veterinary professionals give during this time can help change the core curriculum in these schools almost immediately.

Learning doesn't end at veterinary school, Carrie Jurney, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology), director of forum moderators for the board of Not One More Vet, Inc., says. MightyVet just wants to make this learning more pervasive.
