Alan Robinson, BVSc, MRCVS, DMS, director of VetDynamics UK Ltd, says he has come to realize there is a basic set of attributes differentiating successful veterinary groups from unsuccessful veterinary groups. He says these unsuccessful groups the ones that get caught up in what he refers to as “the busy trap” — they keep working and working and not really getting any results.

He defines the three attributes of successful veterinary groups as having a sense of vision and purpose, a growth mindset and the ability to adapt to the reformulation of what a commercial business looks like.
