2017 Best Cities for Coffee Lovers

Article

Today is National Coffee Day, and we’ve got the inside scoop on where to get the best cup of joe — plus coffee statistics from around the country.

What’s the one thing on your mind when you wake up every morning? If you’re like the majority of Americans, it’s coffee, coffee, coffee.

Nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults drink coffee, averaging about 2.7 cups per day. But some areas of the country are more caffeinated — and a lot more serious about coffee — than others.

Wallethub, a website that offers free credit scores and reports, scored the 100 largest cities across 14 key indicators to find out which metropolises catered the most to coffee lovers.

Each city was scored on factors such as the number of coffee shops, coffee houses and cafés per capita; the average price per pack of coffee; and the presence of coffee-centric events.

In honor of National Coffee Day, here are the top five best coffee cities in America. To see the full city rankings, click here.
