How to Make Clients View You as the Authoritative Source

Video

Pet owners get advice from the internet, animal breeders, pet groomers, dog walkers and boarding services, but this doesn’t mean those sources should be considered authoritative.

As Karen E. Felsted, CPA, MS, DVM, CVPM, CVA, founder and president of PantheraT Veterinary Management Consulting, explains, there are many competing sources of information related to animal health. Pet owners get advice from the internet, animal breeders, pet groomers, dog walkers and boarding services, but this doesn’t mean those sources should be considered authoritative.

To ensure that your veterinary practice remains at the center of pet health care, you need to make the client experience easy for the pet owner, Dr. Felsted says. In addition to exceptional medical care, there needs to be good client service, costs that clients feel are reasonable and valuable, and reliable communication.
